Advanced agricultural technologies has been introduced in Palestine. However, Palestinian farmers need to compete with farmers with high-tech facilities in surrounding countries. The project aims at improving situation of Palestinian farmers mainly by strengthening marketing skills.

Project Outline :
The survey was made to analayze possibility of agricultural development in Indonesia by applying knowledge and experience of Japanese private sector and local governments. A partnership plan on orange processing between Ochi Town (Kochi Prefecture, Japan) and Central Aceh District (Aceh Province, Indonesia) was developed as an example.

This research was carried out to review and study the performances and achievements on gender mainstreaming in infrastructure projects implemented by JICA and other donor agencies in Asia. For further analysis, visited two infrastructure projects in Bangladesh and India to study it's impacts and implications on gender mainstreaming.

The project contributed to increase in horticultural income of small scale farmers in Kenya by introducing the SHEP Approach. The SHEP Approach is a methodology to convert farmers’ attitudes from “grow and sell” to “grow to sell”. Our expert joined the terminal evaluation study of the Project and learned a lot about the approach.

Implementing an agricultural pilot project in order to increase income for rural women in Cambodia. Activities include poultry training to encourage economic activities of women in domestic sphere. As intended, income of women increased by implementing this pilot project.

After a long lasting internal conflict, people in rural South Sudan started to rebuild their livelihoods. The Project assisted both indigenous and returned rural people by providing agricultural supports and income generating programs.

Evaluation of the Tsunami and Earthquake recovery program implemented by Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Through the JRCS projects, Tsunami affected people were trying to step forward strongly despite the devastating damages.
